On time?

Multiple persons (DM, RH, JHM, JM, and MB) viewed Phyllis come into work 5 minutes late this morning. This is not her first time doing this, always arriving by a taxi.

late update

1. Why do the ICE tech's only have to pass their finals by 70%, while the mechanics have to pass with a 80%?
2. Today the Plant Mechanics finished the last of 4 unplanned (power pack only) overhauls. This was mandated by upper management in Rosemead due to "cleaner" packs becoming available.
3. Rob Radde was informed of sub-par/outdated rigging points located within U-8. This was a concern for the Mechanics as they need areas to rig off of for pack replacement.

U-10

Fuel filter change. Jim and Matt both noticed fuel flowing out of the top of the raycor housing. Concluded that the new parameters for the day tank have a higher fill capacity (7/8ths full now) and now must be valved closed to do a raycor fuel filter change.

overdue...

Last week Justin Hernandez and Matt Burch spent Monday - Thursday @ S.S.I.D. with Johnny Hardwick. There was continued apprenticeship training in our books, as well as hands on training on the lathe.

Yesterday Justin Hernandez and Matt Burch worked on the oil-cooler end caps for U-15. We drilled and tapped holes for pipe. Plumbing was added, with a pressure gauge. The caps are now ready for test. Jim Hinkley replace the fuel filters in U-14, and declared that unit OK for service. General housekeeping was done as well.

The only person representing the I.C.E. crew was Doug Laflin. Both Journeymen were overtown, and Jay Martin is on vacation.

This morning Justin Hernandez and Matt Burch requested to take U-15 out of service for an overdue planned 4000 hour check. Currently waiting on two units in the CEMS shelter to cal before the operator will give us the clearance for our work to begin.
